Get the Surgical Tech Success Handbook and get in the high-paying medical industry!

I started a new job on March 1... working with the Department of Labor as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. I've been in orientation/training ever since. I have been doing a lot of job shadowing. The people on my team are absolutely some of the nicest people on the planet. I will certainly enjoy working with them. For those not familiar with VR, I will be helping people with disabilities to find training and/or employment. I'm sure it will be rewarding in an emotional sense. The hardest part after 30 years in education will be getting used to having almost NO time off. But we will see how that works out! I just wanted to let you guys know why I may have seemed to *drop out of sight*.

having a good team makes a huge difference and it will be helpful to you. It sounds like an exciting and rewarding career and I know you will be great at it, given how helpfuly you are in supporting people here

Don't worry about posting...just take care of yourself. That sounds like a great job! You must be so excited. I'm very happy for you, hun. Always remember that even when you're not here, you are in our thoughts!
