Question:
Is it worth going to a trade school like ITT tech?
I have previously attended a california state university for a year and a half but failed out...and have been attending community colleges, taking classes here and there, not really trying that hard.
I have pretty low GPA...its really tough for me to transfer back into a university, even meeting the bare minimum requirements. Should I just go to ITT tech or a trade school and get a degree in information technology there? Would I be able to get a decent job with a degree from such a school or would I be settling for entry level type jobs?
Answer:
It's always good to learn a trade. That being said, even a vo-tech requires study skills and the ability to learn and take tests. I would, if I were thirty years younger, rather have a tech school trade and be able to find work than have an expensive four year degree with no skills to show for it.
Your biggest obstacle is your apathy...figure out what you want to do, what you'd do for nothing, and then find a way to learn how to do it well so that people would pay for it! You have to give people a reason to want to hire you or use your services.
