Question:
Bob Weir is taking guitar lessons from Steve Kimock.
I heard it through the grapevine, from a good source @ the show last
nite that Bob Weir is taking guitar lessons from Steve Kimock at Steve's
Pennsylvania home.
I guess Bob Weir is never too old to brush up on a few lessons from
Master. Lord knows he could use a refresher course? And who better to
take them from!!!
I wonder if he will use
anything Master teaches him.
What do kind of music will get when you cross Steve Kimock's style of
music with Bob Weir's style of music?
Musak?
Easy listening?
Elevator music? (wait a minute, that's Steve's music by itself)
If anyone else could give Bob Weir guitar lessons, who do you think it
should be?
Who could teach Bob Weir a thing or two on the guitar?
Answer:
Lee Berk wasn't the founder, but the son the of the founder. He later
took the reins of the school (when I was there) and Lee isn't a
musician. He's a businessman. His father was the music lover. During
this time, the school shifted it's focus from an art (jazz) school to a
trade school. Not that that's not useful, but my first semester there,
there was a lot more jazz going on than when I left.
