Question:
I am new to this newsgroup. My roommate went to trade school for auto body
repair, but can't seem to get many customers. Now he wants to write a book
giving short-cuts for auto-body repair for the do-it-your-selfer. How would
he go about doing this? I think we should first see what books are out there.
He thinks maybe he can get format guidelines from publishers. Is there a book
that explains how to publish such a book? Would he have success advertising
in auto magazines and selling it himself? The book might be actually more of
a pamphlet then a book.
Answer:
There is a book called "The Complete Guide to Self Publishing"
which tells you everything you need to know about how to write,
publish, promote and sell your own book. The authoers are Tom &
Marilyn Ross. It's published by Writer's Digest and is available
through Writer's Digest Magazine.
