Question:
I am getting ready to give a presentation to a group of teachers who are interested in academic and vocational integration. I need some really good group activities that will keep these people interested and still get the important message of vocational and academic integration across. If anyone out there has some suggestions or ideas that will work with a group of 70 middle and high school teachers (both academic and vocational) I would appreciate them. I would particularly like to show integration with english, math and science but would welcome other subjects also. I welcome suggestions on resources that are available.

Answer:
I'm a business education teacher, and so much of what I teach is rooted in academics. You might contact your local bank to see if t= hey have any checking account practice sets to tie in the math part. I do plenty of paper-and-pencil activities with English. My v= ocational program is legal-related, and I'm always making up crossword puzzles for the terms. I've also developed a terrific cooper= ative learning activity on building a home.
