Question:
U.S. college graduate career?

Anyone know what's the contemporary approximate percentage of U.S. college graduates who find and stay in a career that is in accordance with their college major?

I see plenty of people who land a career that is different from their college major.

Answer:
I am not sure that a formal study has been done on this but I am one of those people. My advice to those entering college is to major in a field you dont want to work in..... thats a guarantee you wont ever work in that field.! I am learning (the hard way) that it may not necessarily be best to major in a field you are passionate about, its better to research fields that are in demand and compormise because its pretty likely you wont get to do what you are passionate about.
